Frakenweenie, Tim Burton (1984)

Everybody is talking about Tim Burton’s latest release, Frakenweenie. This movie is a remake of a 1984 short film of the same name directed and written by the same Tim Burton which is an adaptation of the 1931 Frakenstein.
Since I haven’t watched the recent release I will drop something on the 1984 movie.
Victor is a young boy who owns a Bull Terrier named Sparky. And Sparky is the star of Victor’s home-made movies. When his dog gets hit by a car, Victor falls into a depressive mood. But that does not last long because at school he is told about the power of electrical impulses in muscles and that’s when he thinks he can revive his beloved Sparky. His heart gets filled with hope and as soon as he gets home he reads every single book at hand related to the topic. Then the adventures begin.
The story is an adaptation and the well-known gothic ambience is nothing new for the ones who have known his work for a few years but Tim Burton’s twist gives this tale a fresh taste and it is only 30 minutes long. So there are no excuses not to watch it.

And it is right here:
