Coffee & Cigarettes is a compilation of 11 short stories written and directed by Jim
Jarmusch. The common themes between these 11 short stories are, as the name suggests,
coffee and cigarettes. So what’s so special about this film? Apparently
nothing at all but wait till you know about the cast. Have you ever imagined
having Tom Waits and Iggy Pop at the same table? Then stop dreaming and watch
this film. You still have Jack and Meg White talking about a Tesla coil,
Roberto Benigni and Steven Wright and a lot more.
As usual in Jim Jarmusch's works it is shot in black and white which
helps setting the mood for these casual conversations about addiction and
obsession.
